with increasingly high patient volumes due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Behind the Scenes: Last month we announced a COVID-19 vaccination policy for
all staff, physicians, students, contractors, and volunteers.

contractors, volunteers and students to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as
of October 15, 2021.

localization (BSL), which has emerged as a reliable and safe alternative to

MyChart is a personal online health portal developed by Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto. It’s used by over 50 hospitals across Ontario, now including CCH.
Twelve elected volunteers and six appointed directors make up the
Cornwall Community Hospital’s (CCH) Board of Directors for 2021-2022.
CCH has safely eased its essential visitor restrictions
from Full to Moderate as of June 3. Full Restrictions had been in place at CCH
since March 2021 to protect staff and patients from COVID-19.
CCH has received approval from the Government of Ontario
to gradually resume some non-emergency and non-urgent day surgeries and
CCH staff and physicians working with patients in the highest risk settings who
received their first doses earlier this year will now be fully vaccinated, and
increasingly protected, against COVID-19.
Nursing Week runs from May 10th until May 16th, and CCH extends its sincerest thanks and gratitude to
the more than 500 nurses employed at CCH, and also at other healthcare
facilities throughout the region.
